The Al Fahd armoured vehicle was developed by Abdallah Al Faris Company for heavy Industries. it's the first production armored vehicle built in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian National Guard ordered 100 of these armored personnel carriers in 1998.
This armoured vehicle contains a front-mounted engine. It's hull incorporates single steel sheets reinforced with multi-Kevlar material. The Al Fahd can be equipped with a turret-mounted weapons, up to 40-mm caliber.
This armoured vehicle can transport 11 fully equipped troops. Driver is the only crew member, as commander detaches with the troops. Infantry troops enter and leave the vehicle via an outsized ramp door at the rear of the hull. Firing ports for the troops can be optionally installed.
